You seem to lead a really happy, blessed life. Do you think if your situation were different (more hardships, &c) your views would be darker or more cynical?
Oh that I do, anon! That I do. And honestly, it’s really difficult to know how I would have turned out had my life not been so fortunate. Of course I would like to think that I would still be much the person I am but I know that a lot of who I am is thanks to my loving family, supportive friends and generally nurturing environment growing up. We really do end up being very heavily affected by our surroundings, so I think that I would definitely be different had I endured more hardships in my life. I don’t know if my brain was ever programmed with the capacity to be dark or cynical though, haha.
